Frequently Asked Questions

Does PA6 need to be dried before molding?

Yes. PA6 absorbs up to 3% moisture at saturation. Dry at 80°C for 4 hours to <0.1% moisture. Undried PA6 produces splay, brittleness, and dimensional variation. After molding, PA6 parts must be conditioned (exposed to ambient humidity for 24-48h) to reach equilibrium moisture and stable dimensions.
